630 Game Night

Thursday, March 2nd during class we decided to have a game night. To make this effective we need to have as many gaming systems as possible (or first and recent generations), demonstrating the full spectrum of games. So, we'll start with a sign-up for volunteers to bring their consoles (additional accessories in parenthesis), then we'll talk games.

Original Nintendo (NES) - Taco (with powerpad and gun)
Nintendo GameCube -
A Nintendo Portable (?)
Playstation 2 - (DDR and/or Karaoke Revolution?)
XBox - (xbox live?)
Atari -

Are there any other consoles that would fill a gap here? I mean, we're obviously leaving out PC games, but that's not a console. "Consoles are for gaming, computers are for creating."

As far as games go, I think we should limit the games presented by people to one or two. If you do two then they should be complete opposites (i.e. Sims and Doom). It can be your favorite games, or the rarest of the rare and bizare. What are your (collective) thoughts? I also think we should order pizza that night ;)

Maybe we should also rent some of the latest or more interesting games.

Yah, if someone wants to rent, they can. But even if it's a two game limit for everyone, times 20 people, you would only get about five minutes/game. And at that we'd be there for over three hours, so it's really got to be a "Pick your Favorite."

If we can collect money in advance, I will order and get the pizza, plates, and papertowel. Then BYOBeverage.
