Lee_Chapter 6_Utterback_I

I really wanted to say something bad about Utterback's article, but others already said everything what I wanted to say.
So, I decided to say something nice about the article.

We, as moderately high or very high technology people, seem pretty much having a same idea about how much NOT interesting Utterback's works on technological aspects.
When I saw her works, I thought her works can never be fresh.

However, fortunately, she is an artist, not an technician or soemthing.
She is just unlucky that she's having the readers like us.

I think that her purpose of doing the works is simply for expressing her idea into her art works. If we know that she is an artist and all she was doing was art, I don't think her works should need to be very technological, even though she was trying to immerse the technilogy and the art.
I think her works are enough to be looked very fancy and attractive and it can be absolutely considered as successful art works.

Again, she is just a unlucky artist who had no idea that her articles were going to be read by very technologically experienced readers like us.

Again Utterbacks endeavor is something probably some people might consider boring and stale and some might consider fresh!

Personally, I liked the Text Rain idea.. yes we could do more with the idea.. but the idea itself came from her and we should give her the credit.. its one of those things we say.. Man thats so simple i could have done it much better... but then... we never are the first ones to do that.. why not?

so, she being an artist and an author itself shows that she has been accepted and praised for her art work..

and I agree with lee 100% on his statement " She is unlucky artist who had no idea that her articles were going to be read by very technologically experienced readers like us."

While ripping apart Utterback consider: Advanced GUI does not mean overall technological advancement. Far from it. This stuff often seems simple because the interfaces are not easy to construct.

In this world of internet there are techies, artists, computer illiterate. And we all should be tolerant of others, as Lee did.

and again, I agree. "She is unlucky because we are techies."

i saw Utterback's works via web. She is really fablous and brilliant artist who experiment on new ideas which are in the boundary of media methods.
all people indicated her techniques of description for presentation, but i think it is really good trying can be more realized toward producing. this is really valuable. this is my opinion.
